Consultant:

I have had over 35 years of operating experience in the telecommunications, electronics industry and capital risk prior to becoming an international consultant.

I was up to recently Executive Vice President of the Purchasing, Partnership and Contracting Competence Center of Alcatel Integration Services Division, designing and installing turnkey telecommunications systems (fiber optics, mobile, radio, broadcast or I/P) all over the world.  Altogether I served for 26 years within the Alcatel Group.

After quitting ITT, I started as President and CEO of the Compagnie Lyonnaise de Transmissions Optiques, a subsidiary of the CGE that I founded in 1976, dealing with fiber optics for telecommunications applications.

In 1983, I was appointed Executive Vice-President of the Industrial Batteries Division and Vice President of the Strategic Development at the Compagnie Européenne d'Accumulateurs, a subsidiary of CGE.

End of 1987, I was detached to Boston, MA, USA, for three years by the Compagnie Générale d'Electricité, the former name of Alcatel, as General Manager representing the pool of investors under the leadership of CGE within Summit Partners, a VC partnership.

Back in France in 1990, I was successively Vice Chairman and CEO of Orbitec, a subsidiary of Alcatel Cable dealing with Components, General Manager of Cablelec, dealing with and hedging non-ferrous metal, then CEO of RFS-Celwave in France and Denmark, the Alcatel’s subsidiaries designing, selling and installing the outdoor part of mobile networks and Chairman of CGTI (towers).

I graduated from the Ecole Supérieure d'Electricité (Paris) and hold an M. S. degree in Engineering and Operational Research from Berkeley University. I am a graduate of the Centre des Hautes Etudes de l'Armement (Paris), were I served as a consultant for ten years.  In the reserve I was commander in the French Navy.  I am also a former auditor of the Ecole du Louvre and served until April 2007 as Director of that institution.
